What we believe

• One accountant, start to finish. You deal with one qualified accountant throughout. No account managers, no handovers, no juniors learning on your file.
• Fees are fixed and agreed first. No hourly billing and no invoices you did not expect.
• Planning happens before the year end. By the time accounts are prepared, most useful decisions have already been made.
• Plain English. If a figure matters, we explain it. If it doesn't, we say so.

Qualified, and experienced beyond practice

The practice is led by a chartered management accountant: an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and a CIMA member in practice, with an MBA in Finance.

That experience includes more than 17 years in senior finance roles, up to Finance Director and Regional Financial Controller level. The work covered multi-site operations, budgeting and forecasting, cash management and reporting to owners and investors. It is why management accounts and forecasting sit alongside compliance here. The skills that keep a large business in control of its numbers work just as well for a company of five people.

Software

We work in Xero and FreeAgent. Clinquant is a Xero bronze partner, with Xero L2 certified professional expertise, and a CIMA practising certificate holder. You can find us on the Xero advisor directory. Subscriptions stay in your own name, so your records always belong to you.
